Apostle Suleman says he has nothing against Igbo people and Biafra
– He received criticism when he said the quest for Biafra is dead and buried
– He says he is one of those championing the call for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
Apostle Johnson Suleman has reacted to the backlash that trailed his proclamation that Biafra is dead and buried and agitators should suspend their quest.
It was earlier reported that the fiery prophet in an interview with Encomium magazine during the weekend asked Igbos to forget the agitation as they can’t even rule themselves. Apostle Johnson Suleiman “The Igbo cannot even rule themselves; they should go and sit down.
“There is IPOB, MASSOB, you can see that they are already having division. You have not been able to rule yourselves and you want to rule a nation, it’s not possible. “They should forget this agenda and seek relevance and not creation of a nation. It’s now a mind-set.
It’s not achievable because the real people who would have fought for Biafra are no longer in existence,” However the apostle has retracted his statement following series of backlash from pro-Biafra agitators. In a series of tweets, the religious cleric said he was not against Igbo people nor did he hate them.
He said he has been calling for the release of Nnamdi Kanu and is not against Biafra. For reasons not known, the religious cleric however deleted the tweets shortly after but Naij.com was able to get one of the tweets where he declared that he loves Igbo people.
